If you are having trouble verifying your business’s information, make sure that the name, address, and tax information matches exactly what is shown on your government issued documents. Typos are the most common reason for verification failures, so we recommend double-checking everything. If you don’t get verified right away, you’ll be able to see more specific messaging after clicking the “Continue to Stripe” button on your project.
Please note: If your business was recently registered, it can take up to 30 days for government records to update for verification purposes. In this case, please try again after this amount of time has passed. For US creators, it can take 3-4 weeks for the IRS database to accommodate a newly-issued EIN (Employer Identification Number) and you will not be able to proceed with verification until the IRS records are updated.
If you continue to experience difficulties getting past this step, please get in touch with us.
Can I verify as a business using my SSN?
If you will be running a US project, and you wish to verify as a business, we will need an EIN (Employer Identification Number).
To verify using your SSN (Social Security Number) you will need to select “Individual” as the beneficiary type. If you need us to reset the Payment tab so that you can enter this information again, please reach out to our Support team.
