Kickstarter is a place for creators to bring their creative ideas to life, and we do our best to give them the support and freedom necessary to do so. We expect creators to make every effort to complete their project as promised. However, we also understand that creating something new can be a long and complicated process, with twists and turns along the way.
It’s not unusual for a reward to have gone through some changes, or new iterations, since the prototype stage, and it’s important to be prepared that what you receive may be a little different from what was initially presented. The creator may have had to source alternative materials, move production to another factory, or just simply had to revise their original plans.
Can I return or exchange my reward?
Kickstarter is not a store, and when you backed a creator’s project you weren’t buying or pre-ordering an existing product from them. For many creators they may not have the means to offer a return or exchange of the reward you received. However, as each creator will have their own policies in place we recommend checking with them directly.
