Project creation is currently available to eligible creators in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Residents and registered entities outside one of the 25 countries listed above cannot launch projects. However, you can launch a project on Kickstarter by taking steps to do business where projects are allowed. Take a look at our “I am looking to create a business in the US so I can launch a project. How do I do this?” article to find out one way you can establish a business and launch a project in the US.
We’re working hard to open up Kickstarter to project creators in even more countries. Want to be notified if your country becomes available? Tell us where you're located!
How are there projects with locations not in the above eligible countries?
If a project’s location is set to a city outside of our eligible countries, this is likely because the project creator meets the requirements for launching a project, but they are living or launching a project abroad. In other cases the project itself may be a collaboration between international team members.
