Enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) on your Kickstarter account adds an additional layer of security to ensure that only you can access your account.
To enable 2FA, head to your Account settings, select "Set up two-factor authentication” and follow the steps to set up your phone. You can choose to either receive a code via text message, or generate one via an authentication app.
You will also be able to add a fallback recovery method to receive a backup verification code, in the event that you lose access to your primary device. For example, if you have chosen to generate a code via an app as your primary 2FA, you can add a phone number to receive a backup text message as your fallback method.
With two-factor authentication enabled, you'll get a verification code whenever you try to access your account from an unfamiliar device and you'll need to enter that code in order to continue.
If you’re unable to log in after changing devices and/or phone numbers, please contact our Support team and they’ll be happy to help.
