When completing the Payment tab of your project editor, you will be required to add a Payment source. The Payment source must be a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express credit or debit card. Other card types such as Discover, JCB, Maestro, and Visa Electron cannot be used.
A credit or debit card is necessary in the rare case that a backer disputes the charge for their pledge with their card issuer. This card must be registered to the individual or entity (or entity’s owner) raising funds for this project, and must be in their name.
Can I change the credit card I added?
Yes, but only after your project has ended successfully. After adding a Payment source this section will be locked until after a project ends and is successfully funded, at which point you can update this card in the Disputes section of your Account settings.
