After your project is successfully funded, you’ll see a "+" icon in the top left corner of your project page which gives you the option to customize your Spotlight page theme, including selecting a background color, background image, and text color.
You'll also be able to edit your project title and blurb by clicking the pencil icons to the right of each one. Additionally, you’ll see the option to change your main project image and add a link where the pledge button used to be. You can add a link to take backers to your website, a recent project update, or maybe a social media page. More creative ideas for how to use this can be found here.
What size images should I use for my main Spotlight or background image?
You can upload images of any size, but we recommend uploading the highest quality resolution image you have.
For the background image, we recommend image files that are 1:1 or 4:6 in ratio (we'll automatically resize this image to 1600 pixels).
For the main image, the file that you upload will be resized to a maximum width of 700 pixels and a maximum height of 800 pixels. We recommend cropping the image to a 16:9 aspect ratio before uploading, as this is what it will be displayed at.
Can I upload a video to my spotlight page?
Not yet, but feel free to add videos and sound clips to your project updates!
How can I make sure my Spotlight page is WCAG compliant?
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) require a higher color contrast, this ensures that the text is legible for everyone. You can use this free online tool to help generate various color combinations that are WCAG compliant for small text.
