We’ve received reports of employment scams operating under the guise of being a job recruiter for Kickstarter.
It’s important for anyone on the receiving end of these messages to note that Kickstarter does not do the following:
- Communicate job offers via email addresses not affiliated with @kickstarter.com
- Conduct interviews via instant messenger or google hangouts
- Require you to spend money for purchase of equipment or services
- Offer to send a check to cover costs related to equipment purchases
We recommend checking our jobs page to see if the job description offered matches our available positions.
If you receive a message that appears suspicious, feel free to contact us via employment-scams [at] kickstarter.com. Per the FBI’s recommendations, we also encourage you to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission’s Consumer Sentinel or the Internet Crime Complaint Center.
I’m interested in working for Kickstarter, how do I apply?
When a role opens up at Kickstarter this will be posted on our Jobs page. You can find out more about each open role by clicking on the position, and if one sounds like something you’d be interested in, you can apply via the “Apply for this job” button.
