The pledge manager tax report for your project can be found by selecting ‘Payouts & Taxes’ from the creator navigation bar, located on the left side of your project page. Each row represents one tax calculation for an order component (for example: an item, add-on, or shipping).
Please note: Each report shows how tax was calculated and collected through Kickstarter. Creators should use this information to support their own tax filings or reconciliation.

For UK/EU VAT, many lines will say “Standard rate”. To understand which VAT this is, check:
- Country Code (e.g. GB, DE, FR)
- Sales Tax Rate (e.g. 20%, 19%)
Together, these identify the tax (for example: UK VAT at 20%).
If Creator Responsible Tax Amount is populated:
- The tax is not remitted by Kickstarter
- The creator is responsible for handling VAT/tax outside the platform
If Project Partners LLC Responsible Amount is populated:
- Tax was collected through the Pledge Manager
- Project Partners LLC (Kickstarter) handled collection (and remittance where applicable)
