If your Kickstarter account was initially created with your Apple ID, you can update your email address via your Account settings. Please note that doing so will disconnect your account from your Apple ID and you will no longer be able to use the Sign in with Apple feature.
After clicking the link to disconnect your Apple ID, you will be prompted to enter your new email address in the modal that pops up. We’ll then send an email to this new email address with a link to complete the final step of setting a password for your account.
Once complete, you’ll be able to login to your Kickstarter account by entering your new email address and password in the email/password fields of the Log in page.
If you encounter any issues with disconnecting your Kickstarter account from your Apple ID, please contact our Support team.
I signed up with Apple and I’m having trouble accessing a third-party survey
If you opted to hide your email address when signing up with Apple, project creators will only be able to see your private relay email in their backer report at the end of the campaign.
Please note that the unique relay address tied to your Kickstarter account can only be used for communication with Kickstarter. This means that any communication sent outside of our platform by the creator will unfortunately not reach your inbox.
If they are using a third-party survey service, such as BackerKit, the creator will need to provide that service with a valid email address so that they can update the information on their end and re-send the survey to you.
You can also follow the steps above to update the email address associated with your account. After doing so you can let the project creator know that your new email address is now available in their backer report on Kickstarter.
