After your project is successfully funded, you’ll see a "+" icon in the top left corner of your project page which gives you the option to customize your Spotlight page theme, including selecting a background color and text color.
You'll also be able to edit your project title and blurb by clicking the pencil icons to the right of each one. Additionally, you’ll see the option to change your main project image and add a link where the pledge button used to be. You can add a link to take backers to your website, a recent project update, or maybe a social media page.
What size image should I use for my main Spotlight image?
For the main image, the file that you upload will be resized to a maximum width of 700 pixels and a maximum height of 800 pixels. We recommend cropping the image to a 16:9 aspect ratio before uploading, as this is what it will be displayed at.
Can I upload a video to my spotlight page?
Not yet, but feel free to add videos and sound clips to your project updates!
Why can I no longer add a background image to my Spotlight page?
We've temporarily removed the ability to add a background image to a Spotlight page while we work on future improvements to this feature. This enables us to ensure that we are compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
If your Spotlight page already features a background image and you’re encountering issues making updates to the page, please get in touch with our Support team.
How can I make sure my Spotlight page is WCAG compliant?
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) require a higher color contrast, this ensures that the text is legible for everyone. You can use this free online tool to help generate various color combinations that are WCAG compliant for small text.
