We expect creators on Kickstarter to bring an exceptional level of honesty, openness, and candor to both how they present their ideas and how they run their campaigns.
That’s why, in addition to following our rules, hardware and product design creators are required to show working prototypes of their projects. We do not allow photorealistic renderings. We also ask creators in these categories to clearly detail for their backers how they’ll produce their product, and whether they’ve produced anything like it before.
