Yes they can! Projects remain live on Kickstarter until their set funding deadline, which means it’s possible for creators to surpass their funding goal before their project ends. In these cases, the creator will receive all of the collected funds (minus our fees), and with the additional funds they may be able to increase the scope of their project, or improve the quality and variety of their rewards.
What happens if a project does not reach its goal?
Kickstarter is an all or nothing platform, which means a project must end at or above its funding goal in order to be successful. If a project does not successfully reach its goal, the creator will not receive any funds, and no backers will be charged for their pledges.
