After your project is successfully funded, and Late Pledges have ended, you’ll gain access to the Spotlight page tool. The Spotlight page allows you to make a home for your project on Kickstarter after it ends, and brings your creative process front and center.
Each creator can take control of their page and build a customized, central hub for news, updates, links to finished work, a way for backers to keep in touch, or anything else they want the world to know about their project.
How much does it cost to get access to Spotlight?
Nothing! Spotlight is completely free and available to all projects that are successfully funded. Use it to shed a light on the unique creative process that comes along with completing your project, and when you're done, share your creation with the world.
Why can’t I activate my Spotlight page while Late Pledges are enabled?
While Late Pledges are enabled, this section of your project page is still being used for backers to pledge. Once all Late Pledges have ended, you will be able to activate your Spotlight page.
How does the Spotlight page work with the Kickstarter Pledge Manager?
If you choose to allow for new backers within the pledge manager for your project, we’ll automatically activate your Spotlight page when it launches, with the button linking to your pledge manager to make it easier for your new backers to find it.
You will still be able to customize your Spotlight page, including changing the button details, to personalize it to your project. Similarly, if you choose not to allow for new backers, you can activate your Spotlight page whenever you’re ready.
To allow for new backers, make sure to turn on the option to allow for new backers in the “Configure rewards and add-ons” section of your pledge manager. This will need to be set up before your pledge manager launches.
Please note: We expect creators to consistently communicate with backers after their project ends. In cases where we determine that a creator is not meeting these expectations, we will deactivate their access to the Spotlight page tool.
