There are thousands of projects live on Kickstarter at any time, with many more preparing to launch each day. Our team is always on the lookout for stand out projects, and when we find one we’re especially excited about we designate it as a Project We Love.
Even if your project isn’t chosen as a Project We Love, it is likely already showing to potential backers through the “Recommended for you” section on the homepage. These projects are selected based on a user’s prior search terms, browsing history, project backings and other interactions, and will be different for each person visiting Kickstarter.
There is no secret formula for being chosen as a Project We Love or a featured project, and being selected isn’t the secret to success. It’s important to remember that every project is the product of someone’s time and dedication, and simply having your project live on Kickstarter is a great first step to finding people to support your creative idea. We’ve shared a few extra steps you can take to build an eye-catching project page for potential backers in this blog post.
Can I submit my project to be featured or tagged?
We don’t accept submissions for features or the Project We Love tag. At Kickstarter we spend a lot of time looking through projects, so if yours is already live on the site there’s a good chance we’ll come across it!
If there is another tag that you’d like to request we add to your project, such as any related to an active or upcoming prompt (e.g. “Quickstarter” or “Make 100”), and you’ve checked that your project meets the criteria, you can submit this request to our Support team.
