I’m looking to run a Photography project

Welcome to Kickstarter! This article will point you toward some of the Kickstarter Arts Team's favorite resources, tips, and tools when making a campaign in the Arts, Photography, and Fashion categories.

Whether you're printing your first photobook, making a sustainable sportswear line, or building a new monument for your community, see how some of our favorite past creators priced their rewards, planned outreach, and made their project possible.

If you’re looking for some inspiration, take a look at the Photography Explore page. We’ve also shared some of our favorite projects below:

  • Cancer Family looks at love, life, and living in the face of death. Nancy Borowick’s project tells the story of two parents going through cancer treatment together.

  • Elliot Ross and Genevieve Allison traveled 10,000 miles over five months to see every inch of the US-Mexico Border. Their project, American Backyard, is their story.

  • Your Town Tomorrow is a photo book by Corine Vermeulen. Shot over 10 years, it celebrates day-to-day life in Detroit from the early recession to post-recession days.

  • Alec Soth ran a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for an art school on wheels; the Winnebago Workshop pairs artists with teens to create multimedia stories.

  • Backers on Kickstarter helped to bring We, Women, the largest social impact photo art project by womxn in the USA, to life.
